Atrament

Huginn: We think lofty thoughts because we are creatures of the air.

Muninn: We have thought other thoughts too, despite being creatures of the air.

H: We think dark thoughts because we are creatures of the dark.

M: That is going too far; prince he might be of powers of the air, but we are not, and neither.

H: We think dark and lofty thoughts.

Of dragons and dreams, and dreamers! The dreams which become nightmares, and the creatures in it which tear your gullet clean from your alimentary canal, the endless death sequence, and the maniacal grins. What about the dragons? They refused to end the suffering the dreamers endure with a conclusive swipe of their lethal taloned feet.

(by the way, is your blog named after the mystery novel written by Ruth Rendell titled "A Dark Adapted Eye"? She won the Edgar award in 1987 I think.)
